Word on the street is that they'll both receive special editions - and a leaked photo lends further credence to the claim.
The photo above - which depicts the R3 Limited Edition badge etched on a leather-like surface - was first found by Funtasticko via Facebook.
The logo shares the same black-and-yellow scheme as the 2020 Proton Saga Anniversary Edition and a recently-spied special-edition Iriz, as below - hinting at the next special edition cars.
It may not stand out as much as the eye-stinging yellow X50 that's dominating headlines recently but it's still cause for excitement - remember that R3 have been known to create lots of great cars in their heyday, including the unforgettable Proton Satria R3.
Between this news, there's also rumours of the facelifted duo ditching their clunky CVTs for conventional torque converter 4-speed automatics.
