Remember the Proton Pick-up Concept? Someone made it a reality

Remember the Proton Pick-up Concept? Someone made it a reality 01

We’ve set our eyes on our fair shares of unique (barely legal) cars like a topless Perodua Kancil and badly modded cars – off-camber guys, we still don’t get you. But this mind-boggling fusion of a Proton Exora and Mitsubishi Triton takes the cake!

From the back, the “fusion” looks like a standard low-riding tuner Triton but when you look at it from the front and you will be forced to do a double-take.

window.googletag = window.googletag || {cmd: []}; googletag.cmd = googletag.cmd || []; googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.defineSlot('/22557728108/my_article_fourthp_under_pc', [ 728, 90 ], 'div-gpt-ad-1685525140735-0').addService(googletag.pubads()); googletag.pubads().enableSingleRequest(); googletag.pubads().collapseEmptyDivs(); googletag.enableServices(); });
googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1685525140735-0'); });

The “fusion” takes its front-end from the first-generation Proton Exora MPV, but the Exora’s third-row has been taken out to make way to fit a Triton’s truck bed.

We’re guessing that the “fusion” is longer than the standard Exora thanks to the added truck bed. The owner even installed roof racks so he can bring around more things!

And the best part of this “fusion”? It's road legal. You can still get road tax for the car as interested Indonesians have checked with the government’s portal and discovered that the price of the road tax is 13 million Rupiahs.

Yes, you read that right, the Trixora/ Exoton was built by an Indonesian businessman and the owner has now put the car on sale for 65 million Rupiahs.

Now that is a sight that you don’t see every day!

There isn’t a time in memory that doesn’t involve staring at cars. After discovering the excitement of watching Schumacher vs Hakkinen, Formula 1 became a major part of life. The love for cars and F1 ultimately led to a job with CAR Magazine. The untimely death of the magazine meant a hiatus from cars at lifestyle women’s magazine Marie Claire before another opportunity came knocking again.
