The COVID-19 pandemic has forced many brands to host their launch events online. While others have opted for live YouTube and Facebook streams, the 11th generation Honda Civic made its debut on Twitch.

Naturally with the Honda Civic, a Type R version will be available. Over ten generations of the Honda Civic, the Honda Civic Type R is currently in its fifth generation.

With only images of the Prototype Honda Civic and the leaked patent images at hand, we decided to guess what the Type R version might look like.

The render is based on the hatchback variant, and we decided to tone down the flamboyant styling of the FK8 Honda Civic Type R.

The wheels are from the older Honda Civic Type R concept (2009) and the taillight is a modified cluster from the Honda City RS.

We can't get too excited about the new Honda Civic since it might take a little while for the 11th generation Honda Civic to reach our shores.

Engine and transmission details unconfirmed, the best we can do right now is to visualise what the car might look like.
