An image purporting to be new retail prices for Toyota models has surfaced on social media, indicating that one can save as much as RM 17,391 off a brand-new Toyota in the upcoming zero percent sales tax period.
But that isn’t the case, as Toyota have yet to officially announce the updated prices.

Before the new prices can be announced, there are a lot of questions to be answered, like what’s going to happen to existing stocks that have already been delivered to dealers, or who is going to absorb the cost?
Furthermore, some car companies like Proton and Perodua have a separate organization for manufacturing and sales, which complicates the entire process.
As such, it’s best to just wait for car companies to issue their respective revised prices next week.
