It has only been 6 days since the launch of the MyBayar Saman portal and application, but PDRM reports that they have already collected as much as RM 20.5 million worth of fines from Malaysian road users.
Director of the Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement department (JSPT), Datuk Azisman Alias told the media that the total came from 177,511 summonses settled in the past 6 days.
On the first day (March 25) the portal went online, a total of 37,213 summonses were settled, collecting a total of RM 4.3 million.
The following day on March 26 saw another 43,469 summonses settled on the online portal and application, with about RM 4.7 million collected. The trend continued upwards until Tuesday night where they saw a small decrease in summonses settled.
Azisman also told the media that since the launch of the portal, they have already registered 366,728 users.
In conjunction of the 214th Police Day celebration, JSPT is offering a 50 percent discount on all PDRM issued summonses from now until 14 April 2021. Azisman encourages more users to take advantage of the discount to settle their summonses during this period.
