In response to the great customer response to the MG 5 since its launch last month, SAIC Motor Malaysia held an MG 5 car delivery event at MG Motor Glenmarie (Mega Galeri Sdn Bhd). The ceremony saw over 20 new MG 5 owners gathered to receive their vehicles along with the management team from SAIC Motor Malaysia.

The success of overall MG 5 deliveries is attributed to the seamless collaboration among 18 strategically located MG Motor Authorised Dealerships, ensuring customers receive their cars promptly.

"The MG 5 has truly resonated with a segment of buyers who prioritize style and individuality, and we’re thrilled to celebrate this milestone alongside our customers,” said Lee Wen Hsiang, Chief Operating Officer of SAIC Motor Malaysia.

He continued, “Through events like these, we’re able to engage directly with our customers, listen to their feedback, and gather meaningful insights into their satisfaction levels. This ongoing connection with our customers not only helps us improve our service but also strengthens the community united by the spirit of MG.”

Fully imported (CBU) from Thailand, the MG 5 boasts the largest dimensions in the B-segment sedan market. Only one variant is offered which is powered by a naturally aspirated 1.5-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine that makes 119 PS/150 Nm. Power is sent to the front wheels via a CVT-type automatic gearbox with 8 virtual gears.

The MG 5 comes standard with black leather seats, a powered sunroof, a 10-inch infotainment unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, and rear air-conditioning.

The sporty-looking sedan comes with a 5-year unlimited mileage vehicle warranty and a 7-year unlimited mileage powertrain warranty. In celebration of MG’s 100th anniversary, the RM 7,000 introductory rebate for the MG 5 remains available which brings the car’s price to RM 86,900.
