Though launched in 2019, GoCar’s subscription programme is relatively low-key next to the brand’s on-demand car-sharing service. But one year later, GoCar has not only revamped their entire subscription programme but expanded it and rebranded it as GoCar Subs.
GoCar Subs now offers an extended fleet of vehicle options from sedans, SUVs, MPVs and even a pick-up truck. The fleet consists of cars made up of various brands including Perodua, Proton, Nissan, Toyota, Honda and even continental cars like Volkswagen and Renault.
Don’t worry, all cars in the fleet have been subjected to stringent inspection to ensure that they are all in good condition.
Subscription plans have also been updated to include the choice of not just the usual 12, 24, 36 months plan but even a weekly and monthly plan. Needless to say, GoCar will also bear all the costs of the car like comprehensive insurance, road tax, service and maintenance and more.
The biggest update GoCar has made to the subscription programme is the free-consultation module. Customers will have the option of selling their car to GoCar Subs and receive up to six months of free subscription plan for their trade-in.
With the subscription plan, they can either select from the list of cars on offer in the GoCar garage or even choose to re-subscribe to their own car so they can continue driving their cars.
This new module will be a great help for car owners who are in a pickle financially and having their long-term car loan lifted from their shoulders but still have the convenience of a car to get around.
Those interested in a free consultation can just submit their details at the newly launched GoCar Subs website. A designated product consultant will be in contact within 24 hours to provide assistance.
Additionally, customers can register for a new subscription account, select their vehicle and subscription plan, complete the subscription process, track their subscription status online and manage their subscription payments all on the dedicated GoCar Subs website.
All applications will be processed within 24 hours. Once approved, customers will receive their cars and start their subscription journey within 14 days.
Of course, GoCar Subs also offers a door-to-door service for vehicle delivery as well as maintenance pick-up and return. This service is only free for subscribers of the 12-month and above plans.
Another new feature under GoCar Subs is add-on options, the costs of which customers can choose to amortise across their subscription for additional comfort and convenience.
Current offerings available include Singapore access for RM 8 monthly (extended insurance coverage included), tinting from RM 28 monthly and full accident protection for RM 99 monthly (no excess fees will be charged in the event of an accident).
GoCar Subs is open to all Malaysian citizens and residents (international driving licenses are accepted). To subscribe, applicants only need to submit a copy of their driving license, identity card or passport, three-month payslip, EPF statement and three-month bank statement.
For a limited time, customers who subscribe to the 12-month, 24-month and 36-month plans and make payment by 31 August 2020 will be entitled to a 50 percent fee reduction for the first three months.
