Sepang International Circuit (SIC) chief executive officer Datuk Razlan Razali bids goodbye effective April 7, after a long 11 and a half years managing SIC. His position will be taken over by a well-respected figure in Petronas Motorsports, Azhan Shafriman Hanif.
Formerly a Head of Strategic of Alliance in Petronas Motorsports, Azhan is a mechanical engineering graduate, majoring in manufacturing and material Science. He has been with Petronas for more than 13 years, and also spearheaded Petronas motorsports sponsorship side close to a decade.
What’s next for the former CEO Razlan then? At this point of time, he will devote his focus to Petronas Yamaha Sepang Racing Team (SRT), focusing on major motorcycle racing series such as MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3.
In this tough time for motorsports world, what will Azhan do for our local and international motorsports scene remains to be seen, but let's hope SIC will bring back a great entertainment for all of us.
More than 10 years experience, specialising in Motorsports, Advanced Driving, Event Management & Creative Design. He enjoys driving (drifting, actually) anything RWD with a proper LSD over the limit. Versatility is his motto and mantra.
