Remember the Mini EV X2 that previously went viral? Police even prompted the possibility of a scam when a website started selling the car for RM 13,800.

Images of the Mini EV X2 in Malaysia was posted on a blog shop selling Chinese beauty product's Facebook page. The post was accompanied with captions that denounce the claims of a scam or fake and the owner of their shop have already received their order.

Eagle-eye netizens, of course, caught on that the car not only has its driver’s seat on the left side but does not have a road tax.

They highlighted that though the car is not a scam, it is still not a road legal car. Some even mentioned that the car has no safety systems at all and would rather pay more for a Perodua Bezza or Axia.

Either way, the Mini EV X2, or if we’re going by the EV’s real name the Mine M1, is still not an advisable purchase.

The official top speed of the car is listed by the official website at only 60 km/h, but based on the Malaysian website, the car's top speed is at 80 km/h. Either way, even with the 80 km/h top speed you will only be creating problems if you ever try to drive the car on highways or busy roads.

That’s not to mention that you might be flagged down by police and issued a fine for driving a car with no road tax.

There isn’t a time in memory that doesn’t involve staring at cars. After discovering the excitement of watching Schumacher vs Hakkinen, Formula 1 became a major part of life. The love for cars and F1 ultimately led to a job with CAR Magazine. The untimely death of the magazine meant a hiatus from cars at lifestyle women’s magazine Marie Claire before another opportunity came knocking again.
