All Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) officially lets us in for now is a blurry (understatement, really) photo, but the name is already a clue of what we can expect: you didn't think anything called a 'Phantom' to be brightly-coloured, right?

Fittingly, a black one has been spotted on a trailer, presumably heading to a dealership. Not too much can be seen except well, it's black, and the word PHANTOM is written proudly on its tailgate. This being a special edition, extra goodies will definitely be there, and if you'd like a "beast different from the rest" then you may register your interest here.
No launch dates nor prices have been revealed yet, but it should be soon we suppose. Currently, the Triton's range-topper is the Athlete variant, priced at RM 146,600 on-the-road without insurance. It is powered by a 2.4-litre turbodiesel engine, churning 181 PS and 430 Nm.
Linking that to the ground is a six-speed automatic transmission, and the Super Select 4WD-II four-wheel drive system.
