Senior Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein announced that all petrol stations, eateries, and convenience shops will be allowed to open from 6 am until midnight.
The changes will apply to all phases of the National Recovery Plan (NRP). This means it will be applicable nationwide except for areas under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO).
Hishammuddin said that the Covid-19 Ministerial Quartet, consisting of himself, health minister Khairy Jamaluddin, communications and multimedia minister Annuar Musa, and finance minister Tengku Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz, has already agreed to the extension of the operating hours.
Now the decision is pending approval from the special task force on the management of the pandemic.
