Six months after it's made its world debut in Indonesia, the all-new 2023 Toyota Innova has finally arrived in Malaysia. These photos were shared by Facebook page RiderAth, who spotted a carrier with six units of the lightly-masked SUV-esque MPV.

The blocky stature, wheels, and silhoutte clearly mark it out as the TNGA-C platform Innova which in itself is shared with the Toyota Corolla Cross and is a departure of the outgoing model's IMV ladder-frame chassis.

This next-gen Innova will also switch to a front-wheel drive (FWD) layout too, and ours will likely have an electrified option to go with UMW Toyota Motor's prior announcements and upcoming plans for the Malaysian market.

If that's the case, then our Innova could score the larger 2.0-litre M20A-FXS Dynamic Force engine, paired to a e-CVT automatic transmission. Tantalising power too; Indonesia's Innova Hybrid, for example, has a combined output of 186 PS.

Kit count in Indonesia is rich, with the cabin enlivened by a 9- or 10-inch floating-type infotainment screen, an electric parking brake, and a panoramic sunroof. Toyota Safety Sense suite of ADAS is also now part of the equation.

Prices still remain a question this far out into the model's life here, so all we can do are speculations. The outgoing generation Toyota Innova is currently selling in Malaysia for RM 133,880 for the entry 2.0G AT variant, and RM 141,880 for the 2.0X AT variant.

Taking into account inflationary pressures, rising raw material costs, and our weak Ringgit, prices for the all-new 2023 Toyota Innova Hybrid could be somewhere circa RM 150,000.
