Spied: BYD Dolphin EV spotted in Malaysia; aimed for Q4 2023 launch - cheaper than Atto 3, up to 410 km range?

The BYD Dolphin electric (EV) hatchback has been spotted in Malaysia, as seen in this social media posting by Shariman.
Being spotted at the port means it's highly likely fully-imported (CBU China), just like the droves of the BYD Atto 3 its seen amongst.
Our first glimpse of it, next to the Seal
It was previewed here at the launch of the Atto 3 back in December 2022, so it's only a matter of time before it makes its official entry. Back then, it was announced that the Dolphin hatchback has been earmarked for a Q4 2023 launch in Malaysia; to be joined by the Seal EV sedan too.
In China, the BYD Dolphin can be had with either a 95 PS/180 Nm motor or a 177 PS/290 Nm motor. The higher-powered electric motor is fed by a 44.9 kWh Blade Lithium-ion Phosphate (LFP) battery pack, giving the Dolphin a range of 401 km on the NEDC cycle.
The less powerful motor can be paired with both the 44.9 kWh battery or a smaller 30.7 kWh battery.
Thai-spec BYD Dolphin
Ours, however, could mirror the car displayed in Thailand. That one has the 95 PS/180 Nm motor combined with the 44.9 kWh battery, which gives a range of up to 410 km in the NEDC cycle.
AC charging at 7 kW takes 6 hours and 25 minutes, while DC fast charging at up to 60 kW will refill the battery from 30-80% state of charge (SOC) in 30 minutes. Like the BYD Atto 3, the Dolphin features V2L (vehicle to load), which enables it to power external electrical appliances.
In Thailand, prices for the BYD Dolphin is estimated to start from THB 799,999 (circa RM 103k), which is about 27% cheaper than the BYD Atto 3 there (starting from THB 1,099,900, around RM 146k).
Back home in Malaysia, prices for the BYD Atto 3 start from RM 149,900 for the Standard Range.
