All-new 2022 Honda HR-V spotted in Malaysia
Turbochanged engine hinted
i-MMD hybrid is also going to be offered
The all-new 2022 Honda HR-V is perhaps one of the most highly-anticipated B-segment SUVs to launch in Malaysia, and the model has been spotted prowling our roads recently.

Thus far, Honda Malaysia has confirmed that two new models are slated to be launched within this year, and the all-new Honda HR-V is one of the candidates.
Although Honda Malaysia has yet to reveal powertrain details surrounding the all-new HR-V, VTEC Turbo was mentioned, lending credence that the Malaysian-spec HR-V will be getting forced induction, as well as the i-MMD petrol-electric hybrid powertrain.
The forced induction 1.5-litre engine will likely be a similar unit that powers the Honda Civic, Honda CR-V, and Honda Accord, albeit with a lower state of tune.
At the moment, the outgoing Honda HR-V is available either with a naturally-aspirated 1.8-litre engine or an i-DCD Sport Hybrid system. Indonesia will host the global debut of the turbocharged HR-V and Malaysia will be getting the model soon afterwards.
Upon its arrival in Malaysia, the all-new 2022 Honda HR-V will square up against fellow B-segment SUV rivals such as the Proton X50, Toyota Corolla Cross, and Subaru XV.
