Talk about a surprise - this camouflage-clad SUV you see here is very likely the GAC Trumpchi GS3 Power, doing its testing rounds in Malaysia.

Shared to Funtasticko by user Jad BG, these spyshots seem to point towards the facelifted version of the Trumpchi GS3 Power. 

In China, the GS3 Power is powered by a choice of two 1.5-litre, mills: one three-cylinder engine making 163 PS/235 Nm and the other, a four-cylinder one churning 168 PS/265 Nm.

The lower output engine is paired to a 6-speed manual while the more powerful unit is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Although relatively unheard of in our country, GAC Motor is yet another Chinese car company with sedans, SUVs, and MPVs in their lineup.

In ASEAN, their most prominent market so far is in the Philippines.

Recall that last month, Tan Chong Motor Holdings Berhad (TCMH) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with China’s GAC Motor to evaluate the possibility of TCMH distributing GAC vehicles in Malaysia and Vietnam.

However, it is still much too early to point towards a launch. This unit may very well just be here for testing and evaluation.
