Spied: Geely Haoyue aka Proton X90 testing around Mid Valley

The Geely Haoyue has been spotted yet again, but this time it was testing around Mid Valley. Also known as the Geely Okavango in the Philippines and Russia, the 7-seater SUV is heavily tipped to be named the Proton X90 in Malaysia.
This latest round of spy shots was sent to our media friends Careta by reader Iz’aan Zharif. If you're wondering how to clearly tell it is the Proton X90 Careta did a comparison of the trade plates to confirm that this is indeed the same car posted by another Facebook user Akid Basarom who spotted the same SUV in Genting just 11 days ago.

The Geely Haoyue in China is powered by a 1.8-litre turbocharged engine that produces 184 PS and 300 Nm. The SUV is offered with a choice of 7-seater or 5-seater.
However, the Geely Okavango as sold in the Philippines, is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol mild hybrid engine that does 190 PS and 300 Nm. What are the odds that Malaysia’s Proton X90 would also come with the 1.5T mild-hybrid engine? Only time will tell.
