Nissan has been having a bit of a renaissance moment lately. The all-new 2020 Nissan Almera is sweeping news feeds, the 400Z sports coupe is much-discussed and now we have news of the updated Nissan Navara NP300 pick-up truck testing in Thailand.
To recap, this is the first Navara update since this generation was introduced 6 years ago in 2014.
It'll be released as part of a 12-new-model offensive by Nissan, which includes the aforementioned 400Z.
The last time we covered the Navara testing was back in July when the truck was seen driving around Mexico in heavy camouflage.
This time, a Facebook user caught it in Thailand, wearing different camo than before. In this shot, we can better make out the front fascia design, which brings the 2021 Navara closer to Nissan's 'V-Motion' family face.
Changes under the sheet metal may not be major, which means that the new Navara could still be propelled with a 2.5-litre turbodiesel (163 PS / 403 Nm or 190 PS / 450 Nm) paired to a 7-speed automatic.
Expected to debut at the tail-end of this year or early 2021, the Navara will step up against the equally-new Toyota Hilux and Isuzu D-Max as well as long-standing rivals the Ford Ranger and Mitsubishi Triton.
