We’ve reported plenty of spyshots of the upcoming Proton Iriz crossover, most likely to be launched as the Iriz Active, testing alongside its standard Proton Iriz and Proton Persona siblings but never this up close and clear!
Judging by how the Iriz crossover's taillights are covered while the standard Iriz's are not, we suspect that the taillights on the crossover might be slightly different from the standard Iriz.
Another new detail on the front fascia is also the presence of the new Infinite Weave grille with the Ethereal Bow design that was first introduced on the Proton X70.
The bumper on the crossover is also noticeably more aggressive than the standard Iriz as the air intake is wider. There is also a slight round indent hinting at the possibility of front parking sensors.
Look through the dashboard and you will see that there is also a new rather large floating infotainment sitting on the centre dash.
Based on the shape of the covered logo, we can be sure that the Iriz crossover along with the Proton Persona and standard Iriz will soon bear the new round Proton logo.
The set of spyshots also show the Proton Persona with its new LED taillight arrangement and the possibility of a smoked taillight design.
According to our friends over at Funtastiko, the trio are currently undergoing the last phase of testing before the launch. If this information is correct, the cars will probably be launched in either April or May, before the Raya Aidilfitri celebrations.
There isn’t a time in memory that doesn’t involve staring at cars. After discovering the excitement of watching Schumacher vs Hakkinen, Formula 1 became a major part of life. The love for cars and F1 ultimately led to a job with CAR Magazine. The untimely death of the magazine meant a hiatus from cars at lifestyle women’s magazine Marie Claire before another opportunity came knocking again.
