Spied: New 2023 Subaru Forester facelift seen in Malaysia, launching here sooner rather than later

Here comes the new 2023 Subaru Forester facelift into Malaysia...or at least soon, as a unit has been spotted within the compounds of Subaru Motor Image's Petaling Jaya showroom.
Shared by reader Zaky Maky, the car was spotted last Tuesday (21-March 2023) and it's indisputably the facelift model – perhaps just the regular variant as it isn't dressed up in a GT bodykit, as some variants of its predecessor and the XV is.

No word yet from the company on when the model is due to launch here, but it being spotted undisguised means it can't be too far away now.
As far as mid-cycle refreshes go, this is pretty par for the course: a new pair of LED headlights, a slightly resculpted bumper, and a different diffuser round the back.
Power for the Subaru Forester comes from a naturally-aspirated 2.0-litre flat-4 engine that does 156 PS and 196 Nm, mated to Subaru’s Lineartronic CVT. Power is deployed to all four wheels via Subaru’s Symmetrical AWD system.
Japan-market model
The current pre-facelift model goes from RM 173,788 to RM 197,788 currently, fully imported from Thailand.
