There will be a closure of the Kuala Lumpur - Karak (KLK) Expressway tonight for 30 minutes starting at 11pm between the markers of 55.35km to 55.85km. The move is to facilitate the construction of a tunnel in Genting for the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL).
Anih Berhad; the concessionaire of the KLK and the East Coast Expressway Phase 1 (ECE1), announced in a statement shared by FMT that closure will affect both directions to avoid any incidents due to the movement of heavy machinery.
Furthermore, after 11.30pm, only the left lanes of both directions will be reopened to traffic, meaning single lane flow for both directions. They expect all lanes in both directions to be fully operational at 5am tomorrow.
