The Isuzu D-Max will be receiving some updates in Thailand for the 2021 model year, which will see the addition of a new grey colour, as well as some styling changes.
First up is the updated D-Max V-Cross 4x4, sitting on top of Thailand's D-Max line-up. Separating itself from the rest of the variants is a new two-tone front grille and dark chrome tail lights. It also gets matte black finishing on the side mirrors, roof rails, door handles, side step, and fenders, as well as on the new 18-inch alloy wheels.
Stepping inside, the new D-Max V-Cross gets a new black and brown two-tone interior, featured on the door trim, steering wheel, dashboard, and seats.
Powering this new flagship D-Max variant is Isuzu’s turbodiesel 3.0-litre engine that does 190 PS and 450 Nm, hooked up to a six-speed automatic transmission.
One step below the V-Cross variant is the Hi-Lander variant, which gets the same new front grille. In place of the matte black alloy wheels on the V-Cross variant, the Hi-Lander gets new dual-tone, 18-inch units. The Hi-Lander also makes do without the V-Cross' more rugged front bumper.
Variants like the D-Max X-Series will receive a new red-and-black theme, both on the exterior and interior. Unlike the rest of the updated D-Max line-up, the X-Series gets a unique red Isuzu emblem.
Apart from that, all variants of the updated Isuzu D-Max also benefit from the addition of a service reminder.
Separately, Isuzu Thailand will also be updating the Isuzu MU-X, adding Turn Assist with AEB, which brakes the vehicle when it senses a car when turning right.
According to Isuzu, Thais can expect the updated D-Max to hit dealerships on 14-October, while the MU-X will arrive four days later on 18-October. Prices for the new D-Max start from THB 728,000 (~RM 90k) and tops out at THB 1,179,000 (~RM 145k).
