After winning two rounds of the brutal 24 Hours of Nürburgring endurance race (Super Production 3 class), Toyota Motor Thailand Company Limited has introduced a race-inspired body kit for the Toyota Corolla Altis.
The new body kit, or as Toyota calls it, styling kit, comprises of a front skirt, side skirts, rear skirt, and trunk lid spoiler. There’s also a Nürburgring 24Hr emblem and a set of coil springs included in the package. Completing the Nürburgring accessories package is an electronic accelerator control box (throttle controller), which aims to sharpen throttle response.
According to Toyota Motor Thailand, the Nürburgring styling kit can be installed on all variants of the Corolla Altis, including the regular 1.8 Sport, as well as the hybrid variants.
The regular Corolla Altis 1.8 Sport is powered by a familiar naturally-aspirated 1.8-litre petrol engine that does 140 PS and 177 Nm, hooked up to a CVT-type automatic. As for the Corolla Altis Hybrid, it gets a petrol-electric powertrain that offers a combined system output of 122 PS.
The styling kit is worth THB 42,000 (~RM 5.2k), but potential owners can get it for free as part of an ongoing promotion. Those in Thailand can also opt for a low-interest rate financing option or an extended warranty package.
