This Honda Prologue is Honda’s latest EV-only model. It’s co-developed with GM, using GM’s proprietary Ultium battery and EV platform, which also means that the Honda Prologue is a sister-car to the Chevrolet Blazer EV and Cadillac Lyriq.
The model will go on sale in USA and Canada in 2024. Since it rides on a GM platform, the Honda SUV will be manufactured by GM.

However Honda has yet to confirm at which GM plant will the Prologue be made at. Its sister-car the Chevrolet Blazer EV will enter production next year at GM’s Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico while the Cadillac Lyriq is already in production at the Spring Hill plant in Tennessee.

Interestingly, the Honda Prologue will only wear Honda’s stylized H badge in front but not the rear, which will see Honda’s signature badge replaced by a stylised Honda name spelled out in full. Honda says replacing the H badge with its full name “captures the modern and clean design of the Prologue.”
The Prologue will also be available only with one colour - North Shore Pearl.
Since this is a North America-only model, dimensions are given in inches. Honda says the Prologue is bigger than the C-segment SUV, and will be positioned alongside the D-segment (but still 5-seater) Honda Passport, matching the interior space of the latter.
Honda says the Prologue will have a 121.8-inches (3,094 mm) wheelbase. In comparison, the outgoing generation Honda CR-V (the one that’s still sold here in Malaysia) has a 2,660 mm wheelbase.
No performance figures have been given yet, as more details will only be announced next year.
To build interest for the Prologue, Honda is offering customers in in certain US states where battery EVs are given incentives a shorter 2-year lease for the 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid, with the goal of transitioning these customers into the fully electric Prologue when the latter reaches American showrooms in 2024.
