You’ve probably heard by now that the all-new Perodua Alza D27A is now open for bookings. You can head to the booking page to stake your place in the already long line or just to check out the carmaker’s B-segment 7-seater.

Accompanying the official acceptance of bookings is the customary short video teaser that gives us some key close-ups of the Alza in one of its new shades as well as a catchy font for the emblem on the rear hatch.

Based on the Daihatsu Xenia, the teaser video opens with a top-down view of the bonnet that also gives us a little peek at the LED headlights; standard across the range mind you.

After that, the angle switches to a close-up of the right side of the rear three-quarter for a shot of those LED taillights and the chic new font.

It’s then a shot of the front left door and front fender that reveals the wheels for the flagship Alza AV trim.

How do we know this is the AV trim? Well, the final shot zooms in on the new Alza emblem and that distinctive red AV badge that denotes this variant packs active safety.

Though hard to tell, we’re guessing the shade pictured here is the Vintage Brown; a new shade for the Alza.
