But we are focusing more on the revamped Mother Trucker which starts from RM 92k for the workhorse Single Cab variant and from RM 111k for the double cab variants.

Prices for the top-of-the-line Pro-4X variant start from RM 142,200 but if you’re tempted to buy one, how much is the minimum salary you need before you can apply for a loan?

For this article, we will be focusing on the three top variants of the Navara, the 2.5L V, the 2.5L VL, and the 2.5L Pro-4X.

For the Navara 2.5L V, prices of this variant start from RM 125,500. Hence, the monthly repayment for this variant is roughly RM 1,260 per month, factoring in a 2.27% interest rate with a 9-year loan.

Based on the recommended guideline that you should not be paying more than 20% of your monthly salary on the car’s monthly repayment, that’s a minimum net salary of around RM 6,300 a month.

As for the Navara 2.5L VL which starts from RM 137,900, the monthly repayment is roughly RM 1,380 per month and you will need a net salary of around RM 6,900 a month.

Finally, we have the Navara 2.5L Pro-4X, the top-of-the-line Mother Trucker. Starting from RM 142,200, you’ll need to have a net salary of around RM 7,150 to afford the monthly repayment, which comes in at RM 1,430.

With the cost of insurance, maintenance, tyres, and other associated running costs factored in, your car-related expenses should not exceed 30 percent of your monthly salary.

Below are the monthly installments for the new 2021 Nissan Navara facelift for 5-, 7-, and 9-year tenures. These rates have already factored in an interest rate of 2.27%.

The shorter 5-year loan tenure is a wiser choice. That being said, interest rates are always changing. Given our current situation, interest rates are very low but do check with your respective banks for the latest rates.
