In the midst of this, Honda is offering a special offer to buyers who are looking to get a Honda City on their driveway.

Malaysians know how enticing the 'lambang H' is. There's something about Honda's aura in grabbing the attention of Malaysians and this deal is definitely attractive.

Honda Malaysia has announced the ‘All-new City 12.12 Special Sales’ which takes place from 1- to 12-December 2020. Customers who booked their City S or E variants within these 12 days will be entitled to a RM 2,000 rebate.

After that, customers will have until 31-December 2020 to complete registeration and purchase of their cars. The special rebate will be accepted once the booking and registration requirements are fulfilled at any authorised Honda dealers nationwide.

But hang on, that means the Honda City starts at a little over RM 70k for the base S variant. Plus, you'd get 2 grand back.

That's enough incentive over the Proton Persona. Even if the Persona still costs less than the City - monthly installments for the top-of-the-range Premium CVT on a 9-year loan starts from RM600 while the base-spec City S starts from RM740 for the same period - you do get a more modern, better equipped sedan.

All variants of the City come equipped with Vehicle Stability Assist as standard. The E variant adds paddle shifters, cruise control, reverse camera, automatic air-conditioning, as well as an 8-inch infotainment that also supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
