Except it isn’t, it’s real, and I really want one.
Yes it looks a lot like the Mercedes-Benz G63 6x6 AMG, but apart from the six-wheels, there's nothing in common.
For starters, there’s no 5.5-litre V8 to feed, only a cheap-to-run, all-electric motor.
Makes sense, since it’s based on the toylike Wuling Hong Guang Mini EV anyway.
Oh and it being all electric means it’s quite possibly the world’s first all-electric six-wheeler.
All 27 PS goes to only two-wheels (middle axle) though. Still, that shouldn’t pose a problem going through rough terrain as the teeny 12-inch wheels are wrapped in all-terrain tyres.
Small, but definitely tons easier to find than the 37-inchers on the AMG.
It caught my eye because of how modern it looks. LED lights front and back, concealed charging port and hardy two-tone matte paint means it does look tough.
Inside, there’s plenty of modern touches on an otherwise sparse interior.
There’s a flat-bottom steering wheel, digital instrument cluster and dial-shaped shifter.
Topping it off are coloured detailing around the upper dashboard, panel switches and seats.
We all like forbidden fruits and unfortunately this is highly unlikely to make it here. If it does though, I’ll be waiting in line...
