Limited to just 150 units, the 2004 Proton Satria R3 isn’t something you find in a regular used car lot.

Keep in mind that each and every unit of the Satria R3 received a number of improvements over the regular Satria, including a double-stitch welded chassis, retuned suspension, stronger brakes, and a tad bit more power. We've explained before why the Satria R3 is such a big deal here.

But once in a blue moon (like now), a unit does surface for sale.

As seen on Mudah, a seller has posted up his 2004 Satria R3 (number 25 out of 150) for sale, listed for a rather reasonable sum of RM 30,000.

The listing mentioned that the Satria R3 has received a number of upgrades, including a set of adjustable suspension with pillow ball mounts, an Exedy clutch, and a Mivec 4.6 final drive.

Apart from that, the photos indicate that this particular Satria R3 remains largely stock – the red-black Recaro SR4 seats appear to be intact, as well as the Momo steering wheel.

Considering that interstate travels are now allowed, we reckon a trip to Ipoh might be worth it.
