This Malaysian dad built his sons a VW Kombi bus bunk bed. It’s now on sale

This Malaysian dad took the phrase “start them young” literally when he decided to build this awesome bunk bed in the shape of a Volkswagen Bus Type 2, or also known as Kombi, for his sons. The ‘bus’ is made entirely out of wood and it comes with a surfboard ladder and even doors for the lower deck!

According to Rich Samuel’s Facebook post, he spent 600 hours designing and building the bunk bed. The entire process took 8 months to complete as he had done the carpentry himself.

Other than the surfboard ladder, Samuel also included rich details such as headlamps, radiator strip, bumper, and even luggage handles to make the top deck look like luggage bags arranged on top of a real Kombi.

The single size bunk bed details were apparently taken from Samuel’s actual Kombi. Clearly, the man loves his VW buses a lot!

Unfortunately, Samuel’s son has outgrown the Kombi bunk bed so the crafty dad has put the masterpiece on sale for RM 10,000.
