MG is positioning itself as an EV pioneer in Thailand
Annouces collaboration with petroleum company, Bangchak
Up to 120 new MG DC fast-chargers at Bangchak's stations
In positioning themselves as a ‘pioneer’ of EV mobility in Thailand, MG is taking a major step to ensure its customers will have neccesary charging ecosystem to keep their EVs moving.
MG recently announced a major collaboration with state-owned petroleum company, Bangchak Corporation, that will see MG Super Charge (DC fast charging terminals) installed at various Bangchak service stations around Thailand.
Taking advantage Bangchak's service station network and the Thai government's new EV policies - MG's DC fast-chargers will be deployed in various locations in Bangkok, Nonthaburi and Samut Prakan.
Mr. Zhang Haibo, President of SAIC Motor and MG Sales (Thailand) added, “Efficient and comprehensive charging stations will enhance the popularity of electric vehicles even more. Consequently, MG has invested in the installation of DC Chargers under the name of “MG Super Charge” which is now ready to be of service in over 120 locations across the country.”
Of the total 120 charge points, 50 will be located in Bangkok, Nonthaburi and Samut Prakan.
Thirteen are already operational with five more in the final stages of their trial runs.
The collaboration between MG and Bangchak positively shows how private corporations can come together to take advantage Governmental policies and promote the use of electric vehicles.
Arvind can't remember a time when he didn't wheel around a HotWheels car. This love evolved into an interest in Tamiya and RC cars and finally the real deal 1:1 scale stuff. Passion finally lead to formal training in Mechanical Engineering. Instead of the bigger picture, he obsesses with the final drive ratio and spring rates of cars and spends the weekends wondering why a Perodua Myvi is so fast.
