Tokyo 2019: Nissan reveals Nissan IMk concept

Nissan unveils a new EV concept car in the form of the Nissan IMk. The new concept car will take centre stage at the upcoming 46th Tokyo Motor Show. The Nissan IMk was created based on the Japanese market needs of nimble driving characteristics and ultimate connectivity in a city car.

The idea of the IMk is to provide the Japanese market who are looking at EV options but prefers a smaller compact vehicle for the metropolis. 

The IMk concept measures in at 3434mm in length and 1512mm in width with a height of 1644mm, making it slightly bigger than the 'kei' car size Nissan Dayz.

The car’s exterior design also sees the introduction of Nissan’s new design philosophy, Timeless Japanese Futurism. 

On the inside, the Nissan IMk was designed to give passengers the feeling of being in a room rather than a car. Designers of the car amplified the feeling of luxury on a cloud. With bench-style seats, dimpled texture all painted in light tonal materials. 

In terms of technology, the Nissan IMk has ProPILOT advanced driver assistance technologies like smartphone-enabled Remote Park feature and fully autonomous driving.
