UMW Toyota teams up with Bank Rakyat to introduce new financing scheme

UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) has a few new financing schemes to offer all car buyers who are taking advantage of the recent SST exemption to buy cars. The new financing schemes are a collaboration with Bank Rakyat and will offer attractive financing packages to all Malaysians aged between 18 to 65 years old.

The new financing packages are arranged to follow Islamic financing principle and consist of 2 types of financing options; An-Naqlu 1 and An-Naqlu 2.

An-Naqlu 1 offers 90 percent financing and follows the Shariah concept of Al-Ijarah Thumma Al-Bai’ (AITAB).

This scheme is offered exclusively to senior citizens. Those looking to take advantage of this financing scheme should ensure that they are still below the age of 65 at the end of the financing period and they will need to transfer their pension to a Bank Rakyat savings account.

Meanwhile, An-Naqlu 2 will allow car buyers aged between 18 to 60 years old to purchase a car with zero down payment.

Under this financing scheme also includes a special Graduate Scheme that offers zero down payment options to graduates aged between 20 – 30 years old. Graduates have to be minimum Diploma holders and are currently employed for at least 3 months.

For those who are currently employed for less than 3 months, the scheme requires a guarantor for the approval process.

‘BR Malaysia 2.0’ special promotional rate for these financing scheme offers is valid until 30 September 2020. The financing scheme is offered for both Toyota and Lexus models (subject to terms and condition).
