It's no secret that SUVs are the flavour of the moment. Almost every carmaker has jumped on to the bandwagon - not just Aston Martin but also Lamborghini, Bentley and Rolls-Royce (and people used to laugh at the Porsche Cayenne).
It's no secret that SUVs are the flavour of the moment. Almost every carmaker has jumped on to the bandwagon - not just Aston Martin but also Lamborghini, Bentley and Rolls-Royce (and people used to laugh at the Porsche Cayenne).
The luxury performance SUV segment is no exception, as you can see with this RM818,000 Aston Martin DBX (before options, taxes and OTR costs). It's hardly the first in this genre of super SUVs, but does it really matter?
Taut, handsome and dripping with British sophistication, the DBX presents itself as a ready-made solution for the connoiseur wanting the performance and sporty driving experience of a Vantage, but additionally wants space, practicality and comfort for his/her family to lounge in.
Underneath the hood is a 4.0-litre, twin turbo V8 (550 PS, 700 Nm) paired to a 9-speed automatic transmission. As with all Aston Martins, the DBX's specifications are only limited to your imagination, though it's hardly poorly-appointed in the first place.
So, can this Aston Martin DBX take the fight to its rivals in this ultra-luxury SUV segment? Is it really the all-rounder it claims to be? Watch the video to see what we think of the Aston Martin DBX. As always, do like the video if you enjoyed it, and subscribe to our YouTube channel for more videos like this.
