Video: Ambulance forced to make way for Menteri’s Vellfire; Who should have priority? 01

A video of an ambulance stopping at a junction to make way for an unidentified minister’s Toyota Vellfire and its entourage to pass has sparked a debate on the internet. Who should have the priority to pass first in this situation?

We’ve watched the videos a few times, though the ambulance’s beacon was on, it doesn’t seem like the siren was on. So, the ambulance might not be rushing to answer an emergency call and was transporting a non-emergency patient.

window.googletag = window.googletag || {cmd: []}; googletag.cmd = googletag.cmd || []; googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.defineSlot('/22557728108/my_article_fourthp_under_pc', [ 728, 90 ], 'div-gpt-ad-1685525140735-0').addService(googletag.pubads()); googletag.pubads().enableSingleRequest(); googletag.pubads().collapseEmptyDivs(); googletag.enableServices(); });
googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1685525140735-0'); });

But it still begs the question: regardless of whether the ambulance is on regular transport duties or responding to an actual emergency, should it give way to a minister’s entourage to pass through first? Is the minister’s Vellfire doing any work of value to the public?

The untimely death of the magazine meant a hiatus from cars at lifestyle women’s magazine Marie Claire before another opportunity came knocking again.
