When it comes to Perodua’s entry-level cars, it’s a given that these little tikes offer great fuel economy and in the case of the all-new 2023 Perodua Axia, that remains pretty much true or is it?

The all-new Axia is the most advanced it has ever been for Perodua’s long line of entry-level cars which goes back to the Perodua Kancil with a modern D-CVT automatic offered across the range and the top-of-the-line 1.0 AV available with the Perodua Smart Drive Assist (PSDA) ADAS suite.

While the Axia offers plenty of fun around the city, easing into small parking bays and tight crowded streets, can it handle a long journey from Kuala Lumpur to Melaka and back in one tank? Well, sure it could but what if you pack the little car with 5 fully grown adults, fill up the boot space with camera gear, and other leisure activity items like a couple of beach chairs?
