Video: Motorcycle stand not retracted properly possible cause of Final Destination scenario?

Yesterday, a video of a motorcyclist narrowly escaping a heavy lorry became hot topic on social media. While most almost had a heart attack watching the video, many were quick to point fingers at the dashcam owner, but we spotted something else that could possibly be the cause of the fall.
From what we can see in the video the dashcam owner’s car was angled sharply to the right as the driver attempted to escape the congestion ahead. Social media users believe that the car’s angle is the cause of the motorcyclist’s mishap as the biker had to avoid the car.
But upon closer inspection, we realise that may not be the case. Right before the motorcyclist fell, we can clearly see that the bike’s stand was not retracted properly. The stand might have caught the ground as the motorcyclist leaned to the left causing him to fall over.
Either way, we still advise everyone to stay vigilant of their surroundings, especially during the rain.
