2021 could be a busy year for Toyota, as they recently trademarked a number of nameplates and designs in Vietnam, with the Toyota Yaris Cross being one of them.

Judging from the trademark filings, the Toyota Yaris Cross could find its way to Vietnam in the near future, as the model was just introduced in Singapore a week ago.

Seeing that the Toyota Corolla Cross has already found its way to Vietnam, the Yaris Cross could follow soon. 

It remains to be seen what powertrain options will be offered, as Toyota offers the Yaris Cross with two powertrain options, namely a naturally-aspirated 1.5-litre and a 1.5-litre petrol-electric hybrid.

Other models trademarked by Toyota in Vietnam including the TNGA-B-based Toyota Yaris, Corolla Altis (Vietnam still sells the previous-generation model), and Toyota RAV4.
