Volkswagen Adds New Aftersales Service - Walnut Blasting Decarbonizer

Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) has introduced a new aftersales service called Walnut Blasting Decarbonizer, available at all of its authorized dealers. 

The new Walnut Blasting Decarbonizer is part of the Volkswagen Cares initiative and is available from as low as RM 515. The service is recommended as a preventive service every 45,000 km. 

Recognized and approved by Volkswagen AG, the Walnut Blasting Decarbonizer uses walnut shells to gently remove carbon build-up in the engine. The method of using walnut shells is economical, efficient, and does not use harmful chemicals. 

Decarbonizing is necessary for engines with direct injection, as these engines will produce carbon deposits as a by-product of the combustion process which can cause engine sluggishness. Over time, carbon deposits will accumulate into black soot that hardens around the intake valves, resulting in loss of power, overheating, and higher fuel consumption. Other symptoms include rough idling, poor acceleration, knocking sounds, and engine misfiring.
