Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia has taken further steps to digitalise its aftersales by launching the Online Service Booking and Service Cam services.
Online Service Booking allows customers to book their service appointments from the comfort of their homes. Available on both desktop and mobile, customers would only need to select their preferred dealership, preferred date and time, and key in their vehicle details. An aftersales advisor will be in touch to confirm the appointment booking.

Next up is Service Cam which complements the next service step in offering convenience to Volkswagen owners. Instead of just waiting physically at the service centre to make decisions, the Service Cam gives owners a detailed walkthrough video of the vehicle along with recommendations on parts replacements, if needed.
This service only highlights parts that are not covered within the scheduled service maintenance. The customer can then review these parts to decide whether to accept or decline the job.
Customers who are afraid of being in contact with someone else would not have to worry as all they have to do is just drop their key and confirm vehicle acceptance digitally. Any additional repair work needed is also sent via the video link with an e-quotation so the customer can make an informed decision.
Once the vehicle is ready, any explanation of the invoice is followed by vehicle handover which is also done via Service Cam. The customer will be able to make an electronic payment and collect the vehicle.
Volkswagen has also launched an aftersales promotion for vehicles older than 5 years called Repair Packages. The Repair Packages offer owners up to RM 1,394 savings on shock absorbers and up to RM 992 savings on brakes.
Available packages are for front absorbers, rear absorbers, as well as front and rear brake discs. The replacement also includes relevant component parts like nuts and bolts. Only genuine parts would be used and these come with a 2-year warranty.
