Volvo Cars raise the cabin air quality game with this new tech

Volvo Cars have taken the bid for better air quality in the cabin another step further with their new Advanced Air Cleaner Technology. The system is the first in the world as no other cars in the segment has an air quality technology reader in its cabin.

Although Volvo cars have always been equipped with PM 2.5 air filters and the company puts great emphasis on cabin air quality, they have never had a sensor to measure PM 2.5 levels in the cabin and display the results via the Volvo On Call smartphone app and the in-car touchscreen display.

The Advanced Air Cleaner Technology will clean out fine particulate matters whenever the air quality in the cabin reaches a less than ideal condition. Owners can also choose to schedule an extra cleaning of the cabin air via the app as well.

Available all 90 and 60 Series Volvo models like the Volvo XC60 and Volvo S90 based on the Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) since this spring will come with the new technology.
