Volvo XC90 T5 AWD Momentum, a more affordable entry-level model, has been launched in Malaysia.

As the most entry-level model in the XC90 series, the XC90 T5 abandons the previous version T8's hybrid combination and adopts the power configuration of the pure gasoline engine, which further reduces the price to RM373,888 with lower price threshold for customers to purchase.

In terms of appearance, XC90 T5 is basically similar to the T8 version, except that the water tank cover has a different color scheme, and the size of the wheel rim has been reduced to 19 inches. The overall look is plainer than the T8 version without the configuration of the panoramic skylight.

Difference is evident in the interior, the solid wood trim of T8 is replaced into the metal plaque with hairline silk road; the ordinary design of Shield Bar substitutes the Crystal Shield Barbut. It's touching that the original factory still retains the Information Entertainment Host with full LCD dashboard and large screen,

which is still quite attractive.

As for safety features, the XC90 T5 is not compromised for the position of the entry-level model. Instead, the original factory maintains the same settings as the T8 version, so the T5 version of the XC90 still has pedestrian detection features such as the city's automatic braking system, lane offset warning, lane maintenance assistance, blind-spot detection, and smart headlights that automatically adjust the lights. The pure gasoline version of the XC90 T5 is powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged engine that produces 254 HP maximum horsepower with peak torque of 350 Nm, which is lower than the T8's gasoline-electric version of 407 HP /640 Nm but not inferior as a whole.
