Wanna buy Toyota's new supercar? First, you have to prove your worth

If you didn't already know, Toyota has gotten pretty good at Le Mans (officially the FIA World Endurance Championship). After the heartbreak in 2016 - where it lost the lead with minutes remaining -, the Toyota Gazoo Racing outfit came back stronger and are now back-to-back-to-back winners of the race.
As if in celebration, Toyota has recently announced that they will build a supercar (praise be), based on the 2021 Le Mans racecar. Codenamed the Super Sport Concept (SSC), Toyota's new halo car will come packing 986 PS and true racing pedigree, just like the GR Yaris.
So, once again we salute President Akio Toyoda for continually being one of the genuinely great guys of the motoring world. According to a source, Toyota is currently accepting applications from prospective buyers of said supercar. Wait a minute, an application? Yes, yes indeed.
See, Toyota wants to make sure people who buy its supercar are people who genuinely love the brand (and possibly, just possibly to discourage scalpers). So, if you own (or have owned) a Toyota 2000GT, your chances of buying the SSC just got better. You have a Lexus LFA?! Step this way, sir/madam.
For a Japanese carmaker, this practice is unprecedented - Ferrari has regularly done this when selling its halo hypercars - but probably a move in the right direction. In the event you own (or have owned) the aforementioned cars, here's the application form to fill. Good luck!
