RM5.2 billion bid for PLUS Malaysia: will offer 25% discount on toll rates

According to The Star, the RM5.2 billion offer was to buy the entire equity stake of PMB or 51% of the equity held by Khazanah Nasional Bhd.

“The new PMB will offer a 25% discount on toll rates. The concession period will remain the same and will end on December 2038, ’’ said the Businessman Tan Sri Halim Saad.

Ironically, Halim was the one who signed an RM3.4 billion contract to build PLUS. And now he is offering 1.8 Billion more to take it over.

 

Mitsubishi Malaysia kicks off year-end sales campaign

Mitsubishi also has cash rebates of up to RM 10,000 up for offer for all models and offer special low interest on Tritons purchased via Maybank or Public Bank.

Isuzu is hoping to make “Blue Monster” as robust as the D-Max by sending it on its maiden Borneo Safari trip.

The Blue Monster is fitted with the smallest engine of its class but yet has the same power output as its 2.5-litre predecessor with lower fuel consumption as well.

 

Ford Ranger enjoys 12% increase in sales in Q3 2019

The all-new Ford Ranger continues its segment high in the third quarter of 2019 with an increase of 12% in sales.

The solid sales helped the Ford Ranger boost its share of the pickup segment in the third quarter, gaining 1.5 percentage points from the prior quarter to 16.2 percent.

 Toyota 2019  Toyota reveals ultra-compact BEV

Toyota will have the Ultra-Compact BEV on display next week at the Tokyo Motor Show. Its two-seater is designed for the elderly and newly licensed drivers who lived in the city.

The diminutive electric car can boost up to 60 km/h and its stored energy will last for about 100 kilometers. Toyota says the Ultra-Compact BEV is scheduled to be launched in Japan by the end of 2020.

 

Subaru to suspend Japanese production in the wake of Typhoon Hagibis

Subaru to suspend the car production of its main plant in Japan for about a week after the morning shift on Wednesday this week. The facility wasn't wreaked by the deadly typhoon, but some of its suppliers suffered flood damage.

Toyota and Mitsubishi are yet to puts their production on pause but are keeping a very close eye on their parts inventory.
