Proton's Saga returns to the top of A-segment sedan sales chart
Proton is proud to announce that the brand has reached a new milestone in terms of sales breaking the record held in 2018. Proton achieved the highest market at percentage 20.2% (estimated) with 8,934 units (both domestic and export sales) registered in September 2019, that is a growth rate of 97% compared to 2018 of the same month.
MyCC to fine Grab RM86 million over abusive practices
The Malaysia Competition Commission (MyCC) proposed to impose an RM86.8 million fine against Grab Inc, Grab Car Sdn Bhd and MyTeksi Sdn Bhd (Grab) for violating the Competition Act 2010.
According to MyCC chief executive officer Iskandar Ismail, Grab had abused its dominant position by restricting its drivers to promote or advertise Grab’s competitors in the e-hailing by any means.
He also clarified that this is a proposed decision since the investigations just completed and Grab has yet to present its defence.
Sime Darby Swedish Auto Sdn Bhd becomes a Volvo dealer
Volvo Car Malaysia announces its partnership with Sime Darby Swedish Auto Sdn Bhd in accordance with the company’s transformation plan.

Nissan can now produce and sell discontinued parts
Nissan recently developed a new method to utilize robots to produce car parts out of sheet metal without the need for a die. The process is called dual-sided dieless forming, which is capable of producing parts with complex designs, as opposed to single-sided forming.
The new technique could it make commercially viable for Nissan to produce and sell an even wider range of replacement parts in small volume for cars that the company no longer produces.
