Perodua invested RM 7 million into centralising parts production of past models
Perodua has recently invested a cool RM 7 million into centralising parts production of past models. The investment goes into a new 1,600 metric tonne press stamping machine placed in their supplier IQM Sdn Bhd’s facility.
The new hydraulic press will produce parts such as bonnets, side outer panels, rear outer panels, fenders, doors and roofs for past Perodua models like the first-generation Myvi, Viva, Kelisa and even the Kancil.
Naza Kia fuels customer with RM 620 worth of petrol cards
To celebrate Merdeka and Malaysia Day, Naza Kia Malaysia held their Fuel Your Freedom, Discover Malaysia with Kia contest. The contest has now come to an end with 62 winners driving home with RM 620 worth of petrol cards.
All winners were Kia owners who purchased their Kia cars from Naza Kia Malaysia dealerships nationwide from 15th August to 30th September.
CKD Proton X70 won’t be here until Q1 2020
If you’re waiting for Proton to introduce the locally-assembled (CKD) Proton X70 soon, don’t hold your breath as it won’t arrive so soon.
According to sources familiar with the matter, the CKD version of the Proton X70 has been postponed, possibly until Q1 2020, a slight push-back from the originally scheduled November 2019 timeline.

Mazda CX-30 is coming to Malaysia
On display at the Mazda booth at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show (TMS) is the all-new Mazda CX-30, the brand’s new compact SUV that slots between the Mazda CX-3 and Mazda CX-5.
Malaysian consumers can expect the arrival of the Mazda CX-30 sometime next year (2020) with the 2.0-litre four-cylinder Skyactiv-G petrol engine.
A closer look at the new Mitsubishi ASX
First introduced in 2010, the Mitsubishi ASX is in the final legs of its model life now. The display model seen here at the recent Tokyo Motor Show is major facelift of the current generation ASX. It wears the RVR nameplate because that’s what the Mitsubishi ASX is sold as in Japan.
The Mitsubishi ASX is locally-assembled at the Tan Chong Motor Assemblies plant in Segambut but there doesn’t seem to be any plans to introduce the new Mitsubishi ASX here anytime soon.
