When arguing about the pros of a manual car, more often than not one of the pros would be that manual cars are less likely to get stolen than automatic cars, based on this skit by Saturday Night Live (SNL), it looks like they have good cause to believe so.
In a recent episode of the popular late-night show, the cast and special guest star Kieran Culkin got together to do a skit to steal a Lamborghini Diablo.
The heist was a complete failure because the thief has apparently never heard of a manual transmission before. He went so far to even call it "advanced tech" and wondered if it was “military-grade tech”.
I guess we’ve all been driving military-grade tech around all this time? This skit is a massive call to start working on keeping the manual transmission alive!
There isn’t a time in memory that doesn’t involve staring at cars. After discovering the excitement of watching Schumacher vs Hakkinen, Formula 1 became a major part of life. The love for cars and F1 ultimately led to a job with CAR Magazine. The untimely death of the magazine meant a hiatus from cars at lifestyle women’s magazine Marie Claire before another opportunity came knocking again.
