A video of a black Nissan Almera blocking what is believed to be an ambulance has been going viral on social media. The incident is believed to have happened in Klang. Here’s a reminder of why you should allow an ambulance to pass.
About 4 years ago, Malaysians were sent into an uproar when a video of an ambulance trying to get to accident victims on the North-South Highway went viral.
The ambulance had an initial estimated time of arrival (ETA) of 20 minutes at first, but thanks to several cars blocking the emergency lane, the ambulance ultimately reached an hour later resulting in the unfortunate deaths of two of the victims.
This happened in 2016, 2 victims died due to the late arrival of the ambulance
If the ambulance had reached on time, maybe the victims would have survived the crash. So please, if you hear the sound of sirens, doesn’t matter if it is an ambulance, Bomba, or police cars, slow your vehicle and give way to them.
