It’s a big weekend for the nicest person in Hollywood. Keanu Reeves is back as Neo in the fourth Matrix movie; “The Matrix Resurrections.” However, it’s a pretty big weekend for Mercedes-Benz as well with the G-Class appearing alongside him in the movie and the US premiere at the Castro Theatre in San Francisco.

18 years after we thought Mr. Anderson had saved the human race we find him facing the same crucial question proposed to him back then; the blue or the red pill?
Go for the blue pill and the protagonist remains in the everyday life of the simulated world of the Matrix but if he chooses the red one, he escapes from the alien-determined life into the unknown real world and once again fights against the rule of the machines.
Mercedes-Benz apparently wants you to escape into reality behind the wheel of the G-Class. They wrapped the Geländewagen in a giant red pill at the premiere of the movie to drive the point home. We’re pretty sure Neo still wants to drive Trinity though.
The imposing red pill was around 12 metres long, four metres wide and 3.5 metres high. Inside was a selenite grey Mercedes-AMG G 63. However, the movie sees the G550 being pushed in a fast-paced chase as rebels pave the way for Neo and Trinity to answer the phone and escape the Matrix.
“The G-Class and the red pill go very well together. Both stand for freedom, individuality, and self-determination. That's why we are delighted to support Warner Bros. Pictures with the worldwide cinema release of ‘The Matrix Resurrections’ with an extraordinary and attention-grabbing installation,” says Dr. Emmerich Schiller, CEO Managing Director Mercedes-Benz G GmbH and Head of the Off-Road Vehicle Product Division at Mercedes-Benz AG.

We’re not sure how many pills we’ll have to pop in order to get our hands on a G-Class but the next best thing will be catching “The Matrix Resurrections” in cinemas now.
