Woman driving Honda Civic against traffic in Johor arrested

The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has arrested a 46-year-old woman for driving against traffic in Johor. The incident was caught on camera on Thursday at around 4.30 pm, but it wasn’t until Saturday did the police made the arrest.
Johor police chief Datuk Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay told New Straits Times reports, the arrest was made after the Traffic Enforcement and Investigation Department (JSPT) was alerted of the video clip that went viral on Saturday.
The suspect presented herself at the Seri Alam district police headquarters. PDRM are investigating the case under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
Initial investigations revealed that the incident happened Senai Desaru Expressway near the Cahaya Baharu toll. The suspect’s urine test also returned negative for alcohol and drugs.
Here’s a gentle reminder to all that if there is incriminating evidence, always hand over to the police before uploading onto social media so the police can carry out a proper investigation as soon as possible.
