Geely recently unveiled the Boyue Cool, a new SUV that is set to be available for pre-order in China later this month. If it looks familiar, that's because the Boyue Cool is largely similar looking to the recently-launched Boyue L.

Confused? Let us explain β the Geely Boyue Cool that you see here is positioned below the Boyue L that was launched late last year.
When it goes on sale later this year, we expect prices to be slightly cheaper than the Boyue L too. In China, the Boyue L is priced from CNY 125,700 (~RM 80k) to CNY 170,700 (~RM 110k).
The car is aimed at young buyers and the word 'Cool' in its name represents the qualities of creativity, openness, daring, and love, according to Geely.
The Boyue Cool's dimensions are approximately the same as those of the Proton X70, but smaller than the Boyue L, coming in at 4,510 mm long, 1,865 mm, and 1,650 mm tall. It has a wheelbase of 2,701 mm.

Geely designed the SUV with its Starburst Vision design language, which features sharp angles and lines to create a visually appealing appearance.
The front grille is notable for its unique insert design and Y-shaped lighting elements extending along the edges of the vehicle.
The interior features a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 13.2-inch portrait-format central touchscreen that integrates almost all vehicle functions. Even the air-conditioning controls are nestled with the touchscreen, which Geely says is a move to clear button clutter.
The Boyue Cool is equipped with semi-autonomous driving features youβd expect from a modern-day Geely, including stuff like adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, and lane-keeping assist.
The Boyue Cool is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that does 181 PS and 290 Nm mated a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and has a 0-100 km/h time of 7.9 seconds.
Seeing that the Boyue Cool is positioned below the Boyue L, we donβt expect the new SUV to feature electrified powertrains or more powerful engines just yet.
